Thank you for your response. Everything on the credit memo was the same as last month. It turned out the issue was on the billing document were the account assignment was changed due to a table update.

Subject: Can anyone help me understand this error in the incompletion log of 'Missing Data' 'G/L Account'?
Hi,
To put it simply - SAP system checks documents (like CR, OR, LF etc.). If these documents are missing some "mandatory" information (i.e. Document is INCOMPLETE). The system can give you a warning & can prohibit you from going further.
This month, when you are filling in (some or all) CR sales document type, you are not filling in some "mandatory" information, therefore the doc is incomplete & thus you are getting the above message.
As the message says - "Missing Data is G/L Account".
This means that the amount in your CR are not finding G/L accounts (for these amounts to get posted). The solution is to go to VKOA and assign the necessary accounts.
Questions -
1. Are all CR made this month having this message?
2. For the CR having this message, what information is different from previous month?
- Do you have new customer(s), customer account group(s)?
- Do you have new material(s), material account group(s)?
- Do you have new account key(s), new accrual key(s)?
- In the CRs, is the sales are the same as last month?
3. Go to VA01 & try to save the - incomplete - CR and then go to VF01 and try to post it. Go to VF02, for the CR number; Go to Environment > Account Det. Analysis > Revenue accounts. There you can see for which condition type there is NO account number
4. Go to VKOA and then assign the account number, for the respective condition table(s)
5. If 3 is not possible, then go to 4 |
