RE:[sap-log-sd] Create delivery note without checking stock

Experts,

I want to create a delivery with reference to a sales order (VL01N). I want to change my delivery item category. How can I do that?
Currently (e.g.) I see dlv item category is TAN & it is greyed out. Dlv number has not yet been created.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your comment!

Your point is -
In case there is inadequate stock, as normal process, block the creation of delivery (numbers). But if needed, a delivery could be made (one-off + flexibility in system).

With configuration, it can be made possible to block the creation of a delivery number for a Delivery type (as already setup by SAP, OVZ9). But I donot think (know) if creation of the "one-off" delivery is possible.

A possible way could be to change the delivery item category in the delivery which allows the creation of delivery number. Thus, if user wants to make an exception delivery, then he changes the item category in the delivery & makes the dlv.
But I cannot do it because it is greyed out.

Experts advice is welcome

Perhaps I should further limit my requirement. I want to be able to do this for a specific Sales Order, in essence one-off. This is not to be for all deliveries.

Thank you
