Subject: How the MOQ Process is Mapped

Emmanuel -

You need to be careful when you simply say "lot size". There are four lot size controlling fields in Planning.

The behavior you describe does NOT happen when you use only the field "minimum lot size". MRP will gladly create a requisition for 101 if 101 are needed and the MinLotSize is 100. If, on the other hand, you use the Fixed Lot Size, then you could see a situation (with min = 100 and max = 100, or with fixed = 100) where you would instead get TWO requisitions for 100 each. On the other hand, if you use the Rounding Value (= 100), then a need for 101 would trigger a requisition for 200 as you described.

On the other other hand, I don't see why we're talking about purchasing in the SD forum. ;)
