Dave, first, thanks for your reply. Basically I agree with you. We are in Torrance, CA so maybe you'd come by and have a word with my users. Seriously, the buyers say that when a Pur Order is booked outside of lead time, these are exception cases and they admittedly refuse to change their lead time days only to have to change the days back.

This actually makes no sense, if you think about it a certain way. If you have no stock and a lead time of 10 days, and an open PO due in 45 days, then it is possible to create another PO immediately, which would then be due in 10 days. Alternately, the existing PO should be rescheduled to be fulfilled immediately, and it would then be due in 10 days. If the reality is that it's NOT possible to get a PO in 10 days, then your lead time is wrong and you need to fix the data rather than the process.
