Hi Ketan,

Unfortunately I do not agree with you and would not follow your suggested manner. The reasons are as follows -

a. "the Order Qty field gets Greyed Out. So user will not be able to change Order Qty from 100 to 16."
The order quantity in VA02 is NOT greyed out. It can be changed after doing step4. Please test if field "order quantity" is indeed greyed out and reply.
b. By keeping item 10 = 100EA and then creating another line line item 20 = 84; the Net value in the sales order rises to 184EAXNet price. This is INCORRECT! The customer ordered only for 100EA and not more.

Going through steps, from your earlier post -
4. User goes to VA02 item 10, adds Part.dlv./item = B and Max.Part.Deliv. = 1 and SAVEs the order. System marks item 10 as Fully delivered despite only qty 16 of delivered out of 100.
5. User adds line item 20 with qty 84 EA and adds plant B for item 20.

are more work and incorrect compared with simply doing the below, already suggested in my earlier post -
5. In VA02, in line item #10 change "Order quantity" from 100 to 16EA
6. In VA02, in line item #20 create/input "Order quantity" = 84EA, here with another Plant - Plant B

As a side-note, from a macro level all the suggestions come down to - creating another line item in the sales order.

On your point no. 5 -
Once there is a delivery for line item ( complete or partial ), the Order Qty field gets Greyed Out. So user will not be able to change Order Qty from 100 to 16.

Since, user cannot change Order Qty, the line item can be put to complete by adding Partial Delivery Indicator as B and Max partial Delivery as 1. Which means create only 1 delivery and mark the item status as complete. So with your example, it will be as follows -

1. Item 10 ordered with 100 EA.
2. 16 EA Of 100 EA for item 10 is delivered from plant A.
3. Plant A close down.
4. User goes to VA02 item 10, adds Part.dlv./item = B and Max.Part.Deliv. = 1 and SAVEs the order. System marks item 10 as Fully delivered despite only qty 16 of delivered out of 100.
5. User adds line item 20 with qty 84 EA and adds plant B for item 20.

Let me know if there are still any doubts.
