RE:[sap-log-sd] Cross sell for a bom item

Hi Sarat,

I have been testing this issue but have not yet been successful.

Initially I thought it is possible because from the business perspective it makes sense -
E.g.
Get 1 laptop, does customer want to buy a laptop bag (this bag has extra power cable)

But after doing tests, there are -
1. Multiple explosions - first Laptop & laptopbag; second laptopbag and extra power cable

I am getting below error -
Structure explosion for Item 11 is not possible
V1578

2. Item # in sales order -
In BOM -
Laptop bag - item # 10
extra power cable - item # 11

In Cross selling -
Laptop - item # 10
Laptop bag - item # 11
extra power cable - item # ???

3. Important here is to maintain item category assignment correctly - IMG>SD>Sales>Sales Doc>Sales Doc Item>Assign item category
(with Usage, Header item cat....etc.)

4. Take a look at -
http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=168 8809

5. In VOV7, for your item category check fields "Structure scope" & "Application"

I shall continue to test this. If I get the solution, I shall convey.

Good luck!

Subject: Cross sell for a bom item

Hi,

Request your comments on the below issue:

I'm trying to configure a cross sell for a bom item (ERLA). But when I'm entering the same in sales order, we are not getting a popup for cross sell item. Then I tried creating a cross sell for a regular item, it is working fine.

Is it possible to configure a cross sell on bom? are there any special setting or procedures to be followed? Request your help.

Warm regards,
Sarat.
