Have you maintained common distribution channel and common division? If you
maintain both, jest you can check your configuration in sales area which has
you maintain in creation of customer as well as creating of SO

Depending upon your configuration in your Sales doc type, division in the sales order line item could be populated from the Sales Order Header or from MMR
